Job Description
NPD Specialist, Consumer Health

Product Development & Brand

Reports To: Chief Operating Officer

Supports: Product Development and Brand

Status: Full-time, remote

ROLE SUMMARY

The NPD Specialist keeps TruSkin's new product development pipelines and the brand workstreams that run alongside it moving on schedule. The role maintains launch calendars, gathers status updates, organizes vendor and sample logistics, schedules meetings, tracks follow-ups, and provides early visibility into upcoming milestones or delays.

This is a hands-on execution and support role within the NPD function. It does not independently own technical, regulatory, commercial, supplier, creative, or product-development decisions, negotiate vendor terms, or commit the company to outside obligations.

DEVELOPMENT PIPELINE & REPORTING

Maintain the master NPD calendar with current development stages, milestone dates, owners, and next steps.
Collect status updates from Product Development, Brand, Creative, and Operations.
Flag upcoming deadlines, overdue activities, dependencies, and launch-date risks.
Schedule meetings, prepare agendas, capture notes and decisions, and follow up on open items.
Prepare and circulate a concise weekly NPD status recap.

VENDOR & SAMPLE COORDINATION

Handle day-to-day administrative communication with CMOs, vendors, and outside partners.
Circulate approved specs, artwork, briefs, and date confirmations, and confirm receipt.
Follow up on outstanding deliverables and log vendor responses and date changes for the responsible owner.
Coordinate sample requests and track shipment status, receipt dates, and internal distribution.
Maintain the internal sample inventory and coordinate outbound samples for photography, retail meetings, PR seeding, and internal reviews.

CROSS-FUNCTIONAL SUPPORT

Track cross-functional handoffs and confirm receiving teams have what they need to begin their next step.
Coordinate PR and marketing sample and information requests with the appropriate owners.
Track brand deliverable deadlines against launch, retail, and promotional milestone dates.
Maintain an organized record of development briefs, launch calendars, notes, and approved information.
Support general NPD execution and administrative activities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

2–4 years supporting new product development, brand, or marketing execution inside a consumer packaged goods company; beauty, personal care, or consumer health strongly preferred.
Working fluency in the CPG new product development lifecycle — concept through launch — including CMO relationships, specs and formulas, sampling, artwork routing, and retail launch windows.
Experience managing multiple concurrent deadlines in a lean, fast-moving environment.
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and workflow tracking tools.
Comfortable using AI tools, particularly Claude, to draft, summarize, and organize information.
Professional written communication with internal teams and outside vendors.
Strong follow-through, precision with dates and versions, and comfort with shifting priorities.
