Job description
A Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), is seeking a Board-Certified OB/GYN Physician to provide high-quality, compassionate care in both an office and hospital setting. We serve a diverse patient population and pride ourselves on delivering patient-centered women’s health services in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.
Responsibilities:
Provide full-scope obstetric and gynecologic care, including prenatal, labor and delivery, postpartum, and general GYN services
Attend deliveries and perform OB/GYN procedures.
Conduct outpatient visits, screenings, and follow-up care in our clinic
Supervise Physician Assistants (PAs) and collaborate with Nurse Practitioners (NPs) as required
Ensure proper documentation and charting using EHR systems
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and multidisciplinary team meetings
Uphold all compliance standards related to HIPAA, patient safety, and state/federal regulations
Schedule:
Hospital Call: 8× 24-hour shifts per month.
Clinic Hours: 16 hours per week in-office (flexible schedule available)
Qualifications:
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
Board Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology
Valid New York State medical license
NPI number
Willingness to supervise PAs and collaborate with NPs
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Commitment to working in a community-based setting with diverse populations
Preferred Qualifications:
Active Medicaid provider ID (preferred, not required)
Experience working in an FQHC or safety-net healthcare setting
Bilingual (e.g., Spanish, Haitian Creole) a plus
