Job description
The Role
We're looking for an experienced, hands-on Workplace Partner to own the day-to-day running of our Brooklyn office and deliver an exceptional workplace experience for our US team.
This is a rare combination of operational ownership and strategic project delivery. Alongside running Brooklyn day to day, you'll play a central role in our US office relocation - partnering with Workplace, People, Finance, Legal, IT and external vendors to deliver a successful office search, fit-out and move.
You'll be the face of Workplace in the US. Your manager is based in London, and you'll be the sole Workplace presence on the ground in New York - so this role suits someone who thrives on autonomy, makes confident decisions without waiting to be asked, and knows when to pull someone in. You'll work closely with our London HQ team to keep the employee experience joined up globally, while having real freedom to shape and create an environment where teams can do their best work.
What You'll Do
Workplace Operations & Employee Experience:
Own the day-to-day running of Depop’s Brooklyn office, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and high-performing environment.
Act as the primary point of contact for employees, , new joiners, visitors, vendors, building management, and service providers.
Manage office budgets, supplies, facilities services, maintenance, repairs, and workplace contracts.
Coordinate office events, team gatherings, leadership visits, and employee experience initiatives, making sure Depop's brand identity, creative culture and community values come through in everything we put into the space.
Partner with People & Culture on onboarding, offboarding, and workplace-related employee programs.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, security, and workplace policies.
Maintain premium office aesthetic standards, safeguarding our local employer brand identity while continuously identifying opportunities to improve the daily employee experience.
Support business continuity planning and workplace risk management activities.
Office Relocation & Workplace Projects:
Coordinate & support Depop's US office relocation.
Oversee the decommissioning and reinstatement (make-good/dilapidations) of the legacy Brooklyn office space.
Partner with internal stakeholders and external brokers to support property searches, site visits, and office evaluations.
Manage project timelines, budgets, milestones, risks, and stakeholder communications.
Gather workplace requirements across teams so the future office genuinely supports how people work.
Partner with IT, Facilities, Design, and external vendors throughout planning, fit-out, and move phases.
Shape and execute relocation plans, including asset inventory management, packing protocols, and move-day logistics.
Lead internal change management and office-wide communications to guide employees smoothly through the relocation transition.
Manage post-move snagging so the new space is fully operational on day one
Track project progress and provide regular updates to management.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management:
Build strong relationships with landlords, real estate partners, facilities vendors, and general contractors.
Lead the RFP (Request for Proposal) and commercial negotiations for the relocation — sourcing the market, evaluating bids and presenting a recommended shortlist to the Workplace Manager for approval.
Onboard new suppliers and manage vendor performance, agreeing clear Service Level Agreements and overseeing contract renewals.
Collaborate across Workplace, People, Finance, Legal, Procurement and IT globally, ensuring alignment with wider group frameworks and standards.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
Able to be in the office 4 days per week.
Proven experience completing successful office relocations, fit-out or build-out from planning through to day one.
Significant experience in workplace, facilities, office management or workplace operations.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to hold multiple priorities at once.
A highly autonomous, proactive self-starter - comfortable being the only Workplace person in the building and confident making critical decisions on the ground.
Excellent vendor and stakeholder management, with strong written and verbal communication.
Experience managing budgets, vendors and external service providers.
Highly organized, detail-oriented and genuinely hands-on.
Comfortable being managed remotely across time zones and partnering with a UK-based team.
Nice to Have:
An instinct for brand and culture - with the ability to bring the Depop brand to life within our new office space, creating an environment that reflects our distinctive aesthetic, identity and internal culture.
Experience in fast-paced technology, marketplace or scale-up environments.
Experience with change management and internal communications.
