We would love to meet you! An early childhood center in New Jersey is seeking a compassionate, enthusiastic Early Childhood Director to lead our program and join our team. About Us We are a fun, warm, and inclusive early childhood program where children learn through play and friendships. Rooted in Jewish values, we celebrate community and help children and families feel they belong. Position Overview As our full-time Director, you will lead the preschool program, support a caring teaching team, partner with families, and help children grow with confidence. You will also help with related early childhood programming and family events. Full-time. Start date by mutual agreement. Responsibilities • Lead daily operations of the early childhood program • Oversee a part-time summer program for young children • Help with related early childhood programming and family events • Plan and support age-appropriate, play-based activities • Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment • Hire, support, and supervise teaching staff • Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues • Incorporate Jewish values and traditions into daily activities • Maintain New Jersey child care licensing compliance Qualifications Required — New Jersey minimum for a director of a center licensed for more than 30 children: • A bachelor’s degree plus one year of managerial or supervisory experience, OR a master’s degree in any field related to children or business • Ability to complete required background checks A plus, but not required: • Degree in early childhood education • Prior director or preschool leadership experience • Experience working with young children in a childcare setting • Knowledge of Jewish culture, traditions, and values • CPR/First Aid (can be obtained after hire) Please apply even if you do not meet every “plus.” If you meet the New Jersey minimum and love working with young children, we want to hear from you.
