The Opportunity
As a strategic contributor and member of the Digital Marketing & Operations team, the Specialist, Salesforce Marketing Cloud is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing Definity's marketing automation ecosystem to deliver personalized, data-driven customer and broker experiences. The role serves as the subject matter expert for Salesforce Marketing Cloud, leading customer journey orchestration, marketing automation, segmentation, personalization, data integration, and campaign execution across multiple channels. Working closely with Marketing, Technology, Analytics, CRM, and Distribution teams, the incumbent leverages customer data, marketing technology, and emerging AI capabilities to improve engagement, operational efficiency, customer experience, and business outcomes while ensuring compliance with privacy, accessibility, and deliverability standards.
What to Expect
Lead the design and optimization of automated customer and broker journeys in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, supporting acquisition, engagement, retention and loyalty objectives.
Develop and manage marketing automation solutions, including campaigns, audience segmentation, email templates, workflows and targeted communications using SFMC, AMPScript, SQL, HTML and CSS.
Partner with Technology teams to integrate Salesforce Marketing Cloud with CRM, Data Cloud and enterprise systems to drive personalization and customer insights.
Optimize campaign performance through A/B testing, analytics, Salesforce Einstein capabilities, automation and AI-driven enhancements.
Ensure compliance, deliverability and data governance standards by managing consent preferences, privacy requirements and campaign quality.
Serve as the Salesforce Marketing Cloud subject matter expert, collaborating with stakeholders to implement best practices, deliver solutions and drive continuous improvement.
What you Bring
University Degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Communications or a related discipline.
5+ years of experience in marketing automation, digital marketing operations, and Salesforce Marketing Cloud administration and development; experience designing and managing customer lifecycle and personalization programs.
Salesforce Marketing Cloud certifications preferred, including Email Specialist, Administrator, Developer and/or Consultant certifications.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, stakeholder management and project management skills; ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Knowledge of customer data platforms, marketing technology ecosystems, AI-powered marketing capabilities, email deliverability, CASL, PIPEDA, accessibility standards and governance practices; experience in insurance or other regulated industries considered an asset.
Salary Range: $73,500-$123,500
Actual salary for the role may vary depending on work location of the successful candidate and other factors including but not limited to, skills, education, experience, working conditions and the local labour market.
