Manager of Young Adult Philanthropy

• Manage fundraising and development efforts for the Young Adult Division, including a portfolio of approximately 180 donors and prospects.

• Conduct at least 120 donor or prospect cultivation meetings annually and steward relationships to increase giving and deepen engagement.

• Develop a pipeline for major gifts, planned giving, leadership development, and participation in national young-leadership opportunities.

• Recruit, train, and support volunteer campaign solicitors; partner with volunteer leadership to set strategy and strengthen the volunteer experience.

• Create, lead, and implement leadership and philanthropic programs, including SteelTree, the Wechsler Leadership Fellowship, and the Ben-Gurion Society.

• Plan and execute one to two Young Adult Division Community Campaign events and host parlor meetings that educate, inspire, and encourage giving.

• Manage the Young Adult Philanthropy budget and maintain complete, accurate constituent information in the CRM.

• Serve as the primary young adult liaison to Jewish Federations of North America and as a visible representative within Pittsburgh’s Jewish young adult community.

• Attend engagement events and partner with Young Adult Engagement staff to foster a pipeline between engagement and philanthropy in the young adult community.

• Partner with Marketing to develop digital, social media, email, text messaging, and e-philanthropy strategies that connect young adults to Federation.

• Monitor national trends in Jewish young adult life and philanthropy and collaborate across the Development Department and organization on events and fundraising initiatives.

• Participate in professional development and perform other duties as assigned.
