What you will be doing in the role of a Program Manager, Healthcare Partnerships

The Program Manager, Healthcare Partnerships will support initiatives to improve patients’ access to high-quality breast health care in the U.S. The Program Manager will foster relationships with health care and community organizations to support the integration of Komen’s resources and programs into health care delivery and community settings.  Serving as an operational liaison between participating organizations and Komen program teams, the Program Manager will lead relationship-management, implementation, and workflow-coordination.  The Program Manager will guide organizations through needs and readiness assessment, identification of appropriate Komen resources, workflow design, referral implementation, onboarding, and ongoing engagement.  This role will ensure partnership development and implementation activities are well-documented, effectively coordinated, and aligned with Komen’s broader goals related to innovation, health equity, and influence across the health care ecosystem.

What You Will Bring to the Table

Supporting the planning, implementation, and evaluation of outreach and partnership initiatives about breast health, breast cancer and Komen's mission programs that benefit community members, organizations and providers.
Identifying key partners and building relationships with health care organizations and community organizations to connect clinical and community ecosystems around access barriers.
Managing a portfolio of organizational relationships, conducting discovery meetings to understand organizational priorities and opportunities, developing tailored engagement strategies, and cultivating relationships that lead to implementation of Komen resources and programs. 
Serving as point of contact with community partners to foster collaboration to achieve shared goals and objectives and support dissemination of and recruitment into Komen’s programs, including site onboarding and engagement, referrals, and operational coordination with Komen’s mission program leads.
Maintaining partner records; tracking partnership prioritization, engagement activities, and progression across defined maturity stages; coordinating activities with cross-functional internal teams; and preparing routine summaries and materials to support program implementation and reporting.
Conducting readiness assessments and building integration and implementation support with partners to improve adoption of Komen resources.
Ensuring the needs, concerns, and opinions of a diverse community of breast cancer patients, survivors, and those living with metastatic disease are represented throughout Komen’s outreach efforts and programming.
Collecting, synthesizing, and analyzing data from surveys, assessments, research, and program reports, translating findings into actionable insights to inform program refinement and partner engagement strategies.
Working closely with the Marketing and Communications team to ensure programs are promoted and collaborating with the Community Development team to support local engagement, outreach, and activation effort.
In collaboration with managers, development team and mission operations team, support efforts to identify, cultivate, and secure funding opportunities and contribute to effective donor stewardship,
Managing development, release, and management of requests for applications (RFAs) and requests for proposals (RFPs) for community health programs and interventions.
Identifying and participating in cross-sectoral activities, events, meetings or other engagements in which key stakeholders are anticipated to attend.
Developing and delivering presentations, workshops, and speeches at coalition meetings, stakeholder engagements, and Komen events to advance community health initiatives.
Promoting and demonstrating appropriate respect for cultural diversity and competency among coworkers and all work-related contacts.
Promoting an organizational culture that embraces diversity as a core value.
Completing all other duties, as assigned.
May coordinate and/or manage deliverables from vendors, consultants, interns, or volunteers.

Experience working within health systems, hospitals, oncology practices, federally qualified health centers, or other clinical settings to understand partner’s operational priorities, how patients move through the continuum of care, and where Komen can add value.
Experience mapping workflows and clinical operations to build or improve referral processes.
Practical experience with quality improvement methods such as PDSA cycles, root-cause analysis, Lean, etc.
Intermediate-level knowledge of breast health, cancer, and related topics.
Strong communication skills, flexibility, diplomacy, and the ability to forge innovative collaborations both internally and externally.
Technology skills to support program development, management and virtual and in-person program implementation.
Ability to facilitate meetings and translate discussions into clear workflows, decisions, assignments, and next steps.
3-5 years’ experience in healthcare program implementation, clinical operations, patient navigation, care coordination/ case management, quality improvement, patient and family safety, provider engagement or a related field.
Bachelor’s Degree: (Public Health, non-profit management, healthcare administration, social work, nursing, health informatics, business or related field).
Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ).
MHA, MPH, MS or MA in Public Health, non-profit management, healthcare administration, or related field.
Experience working with community oncology practices, health systems, federally qualified health centers, safety-net providers, or rural healthcare organizations.
Experience with EHR workflows, electronic referrals, closed-loop referral platforms, or health information exchange.
Familiarity with HIPAA, data-use agreements, business associate agreements, privacy reviews, and healthcare compliance processes.
Experience collecting and interpreting program implementation data.
Strong attention to detail and discipline management of processes, documentation, and follow-through.
Ability to develop standardized tools and documentation.
Skilled at building trust and supporting collaborative engagements across internal and external stakeholders.
Comfort navigating ambiguity, shifting priorities, and emerging strategies.
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
