Regional Fundraising Director | Hollywood, FL · $125,000–$150,000 + Bonus


About the Role: A nonprofit organization is hiring a Regional Fundraising Director to own major-gift fundraising across the Southeast region, managing an active portfolio of donors and prospects from cultivation through solicitation. The role is accountable for hitting annual fundraising goals and performance milestones, working closely with the Southeast Regional Director and Development leadership to expand the organization's donor base. Success means building a consistent pipeline of new major donors while deepening relationships with existing supporters.


Key Responsibilities

Major Gifts & Individual Fundraising

  • Manage and actively develop a portfolio of current donors and qualified prospects throughout the Southeast region
  • Maintain an active schedule of face-to-face donor and prospect meetings
  • Develop individualized cultivation and solicitation plans for priority donors and prospects

New Donor Development

  • Proactively identify and build relationships with individuals and families not currently significant donors
  • Build a consistent pipeline of qualified prospects throughout the Southeast
  • Leverage existing donors, lay leaders, and professional relationships to generate new introductions
  • Attend community gatherings and networking opportunities to expand the organization's reach

Community & Lay Leadership Relationships

  • Develop strong relationships with community leaders, lay leaders, rabbis, professionals, and volunteers
  • Cultivate relationships with emerging and next-generation donors, including Young Leadership prospects
  • Represent the organization professionally at community events and donor gatherings

Fundraising Accountability & Reporting

  • Achieve established annual fundraising goals and performance milestones
  • Provide regular updates on donor activity, pending solicitations, and projected gifts
  • Maintain accurate donor records, meeting notes, and cultivation plans in Salesforce

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of successful fundraising, major-gifts, development, sales, or comparable relationship-management experience
  • Demonstrated ability to cultivate relationships and successfully solicit significant financial commitments
  • Experience working with high-net-worth individuals strongly preferred
  • Existing relationships within or strong familiarity with the South Florida and Southeast Jewish philanthropic communities highly desirable
  • Experience with Salesforce or another donor CRM system preferred
