Job description
The Deputy Director of the Office of Community Security (OCS) is a senior leadership position responsible for helping lead the Greater Miami Jewish Federation's community-wide security strategy and operations. Reporting to the Director of Community Security, the Deputy Director serves as a key strategic and operational partner to the Director and helps ensure the effective delivery of security services, preparedness initiatives, threat intelligence, training, risk assessments, and emergency response across Miami-Dade County's Jewish community.
The Deputy Director serves as a trusted security advisor to Jewish institutions and works closely with Federation leadership, institutional professionals and volunteer leaders, law enforcement, emergency management, government agencies, and national security partners. The position requires a combination of security expertise, sound judgment, strong relationship-building skills, operational leadership, and the ability to translate complex security issues into practical guidance for community organizations.
This is a community security leadership position rather than a traditional security guard or physical security supervisor role. Candidates with significant experience in law enforcement, military service, homeland security, emergency management, intelligence, public safety, or related fields who are interested in applying their expertise in a mission-driven community environment are encouraged to apply.
