Aquatics Support Coordinator at Staten Island JCC

Provide operational and customer service support during evening and weekend pool hours to ensure a safe, clean and positive experience for all patrons and staff. This non-supervisory role requires strong initiative, effective communication skills and reliability. You're a dependable and organized team member who communicates clearly and remains calm under pressure. You'll provide support to aquatics staff during evening and weekend shifts, help enforce safety protocols, and serve as the primary point of contact on-site during nights and weekends. **Pay:** $22 - $25 per hour (based on experience) Responsibilities: • Assist lifeguards and aquatic staff with evening operations • Support and provide coverage for lifeguards and swim instructors as needed • Coordinate pool activities and logistics • Monitor pool operations and ensure adherence to safety procedures and policies • Respond to emergencies and incidents, following established protocols • Support opening and closing duties for night shifts Requirements: • Minimum 2 years of experience in aquatics or pool operations • Current Lifeguard, CPR and First Aid certifications (or ability to obtain before start) • Strong leadership and organizational skills • Availability to work nights and weekends • Previous supervisory experience in an aquatics or recreation setting preferred Benefits: Subsidized options for Medical; offerings for Dental and Vision coverage, FSA and Dependent Care.
