Southeast Regional Director at National Council of Jewish Women (NCJW)

National Council of Jewish Women (NCJW) is a 133-year-old Jewish feminist civil rights organization working for equity and justice for women, children and families in the United States and Israel. With 250,000 grassroots advocates and 45 local sections, NCJW combines education, direct service and advocacy through a Jewish, gender, economic and racial justice lens. Based in Miami, the Southeast Regional Director leads engagement and advocacy across Florida, Alabama, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Mississippi and Tennessee, working with national colleagues and community-based Local Leadership Councils. Policy and communications support is provided by the national team. This position reports to the Vice President, Engagement and Leadership and the Vice President, Government Relations and Advocacy. Responsibilities: • Support the establishment of Local Leadership Councils and provide strategic direction on local priorities • Create local action plans and budgets for communities and states in the region • Organize and mobilize local support for NCJW's nationwide advocacy campaigns, tailoring them to local interests • Collaborate with local partner organizations and coalitions to deepen campaign impact • Implement educational training programs, in person and virtually, and support event planning • Expand local fundraising through Local Leadership Councils, in partnership with the national Development team • Represent NCJW at local events across the region Qualifications: • Minimum 7 years of political campaign and/or issue and grassroots/field organizing experience • Knowledge of the political environment in the Southeast region highly desirable • Strong communications and interpersonal skills; comfortable with public speaking • A broad network of contacts in the region and the ability to grow it • Track record of successful fundraising and donor stewardship at local, state and regional levels • Ability to travel domestically on a periodic basis Salary: $110,000-$125,000, commensurate with experience Benefits: 25+ paid Federal and Jewish holidays each year, plus paid vacation, sick time and extensive paid leave.
