About the Role:
As a Research Operations Lead, you will manage and grow a team of researchers who use our tech platform to build impactful audiences on behalf of some of the country’s most prominent companies, trade associations, nonprofits and advocacy organizations, and scale the processes they use to do their jobs. In this role, you will be a critical member of research team leadership and ensure Applecart’s audiences are delivered efficiently and with the highest quality. You’ve previously managed a team and you’re excited to bring your experience in managing productive teams. You are naturally curious and are excited about learning, mastering and eventually improving our research processes. You are extremely organized and proactive, pay close attention to every detail within a process, and are always looking for ways to improve and streamline your and your team’s work. This role will report to a Research Operations Manager.
What You’ll Do:
Onboard and manage a team of researchers, including formal performance management, new hire training and development, and direct team oversight
Gain a deep understanding of our internal tech platform and architecture, ensuring team alignment as the platform evolves
Focus on end-to-end project management to ensure client audiences are delivered on time, including team prioritization and suggesting strategies to reduce operational workload
Lead internal initiatives that improve the research team’s processes
Experiences and Capabilities You Bring:
3+ years of work experience, including 1+ years of people management experience with an early career team
Ability to assess and manage team members’ performance, as well as coach and train on best practices
Demonstrated experience in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment while juggling multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
Strong organizational skills with impeccable attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Excel
History of being a self-starter
