Key Responsibilities
Materials Evaluation and Review
Develop, revise, and maintain World Languages instructional materials evaluation rubrics.
Ensure evaluation tools align with state standards, instructional expectations, and department guidelines.
Support the review and analysis of instructional materials and related resources.
Provide recommendations regarding the quality, alignment, and usability of materials for educators and stakeholders.
Advisory Panel Development and Management
Design and manage the application process for World Languages advisory panelists.
Develop application materials, selection criteria, and review protocols.
Review and analyze applications and provide recommendations for panel membership.
Coordinate with department staff to ensure diverse and representative panel participation.
Advisory Panel Training
Develop training materials and supporting resources for advisory panel members.
Facilitate training sessions to prepare panelists for participation in standards, materials review, and other department initiatives.
Provide ongoing guidance and content expertise throughout advisory panel activities.
Support meeting planning, facilitation, and documentation as needed.
Standards and Instructional Resource Support
Provide expertise related to World Languages standards and instructional shifts.
Develop and revise instructional focus documents and supporting guidance materials.
Assist with interpretation and implementation support related to World Languages standards.
Collaborate with department staff to ensure consistency and alignment across resources and communications.
Professional Learning and Presentations
Design and deliver presentations for educational leaders, district staff, and classroom educators.
Develop professional learning materials that support implementation of instructional shifts and best practices in World Languages education.
Facilitate virtual and in-person training sessions, workshops, and stakeholder meetings.
Respond to stakeholder questions and provide technical assistance related to World Languages initiatives.
Project Management and Collaboration
Manage assigned projects, timelines, deliverables, and communications.
Collaborate with department staff and external partners to ensure successful completion of project goals.
Prepare reports, summaries, presentations, and other project-related documentation.
Maintain organized records and materials related to assigned initiatives.
