Job description
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving Arway Linens’ facility, production equipment, machinery, and building systems. This position plays an essential role in keeping operations running safely and efficiently while minimizing equipment downtime and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, dependable, safety-conscious, and able to diagnose and resolve equipment and facility issues with minimal supervision.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Perform preventative maintenance, routine inspections, and repairs on production and facility equipment.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, and other equipment-related issues.
Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and production maintenance requests.
Diagnose problems and determine the appropriate repair or replacement needed.
Maintain washers, dryers, ironers, folders, conveyors, garment/linen processing equipment, and other laundry-related machinery.
Perform basic electrical repairs and troubleshooting, within the scope of training and applicable requirements.
Maintain facility systems including lighting, doors, plumbing, HVAC, and other building components.
Conduct regularly scheduled preventative maintenance to reduce equipment failures and production interruptions.
Maintain accurate records of repairs, preventative maintenance, parts, and equipment issues.
Work with outside contractors and service technicians when specialized repairs are required.
Maintain an organized inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and replacement parts.
Assist with installation, relocation, and modification of equipment as needed.
Identify recurring equipment problems and recommend solutions to improve reliability and efficiency.
Maintain a clean and organized maintenance area.
Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and OSHA requirements.
Properly use and maintain tools, equipment, and personal protective equipment.
Assist with emergency repairs and facility issues as needed.
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by management.
