Job Summary
The Insurance A/R Specialist for Mountain Spring Vascular LLC, DBA National Vascular Associates & Mountain Spring Podiatry is responsible for managing unpaid and underpaid insurance claims to ensure timely and accurate reimbursement. This role focuses on claim follow-up, denial resolution, and payer communication while supporting overall revenue cycle performance in a fully remote environment.
While this is a remote position, candidates must reside in one of the following states: VA, MD, AL, AZ, NY, NJ, WA, SC, TX, PA, AR, KY, FL, MA or WV.
Key Responsibilities
Follow up on unpaid, delayed, and denied insurance claims
Analyze EOBs/ERAs to identify payment discrepancies
Research and resolve claim denials, rejections, and underpayments
Submit appeals and corrected claims as needed
Communicate with insurance payers to resolve claim issues
Document account activity and maintain accurate follow-up notes
Collaborate with billing, coding, and claim entry teams
Meet productivity, accuracy, and aging benchmarks
Requirements
Experience in insurance accounts receivable or medical billing
Strong understanding of payer rules and reimbursement processes
Knowledge of EOBs, ERAs, and denial codes
Ability to prioritize and manage high claim volume
Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
Proficiency with EMR and billing systems
Preferred
Vascular and/or podiatry experience a plus
Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers
Remote A/R or revenue cycle experience
