Due to strategic expansion, Our Client is seeking to appoint a highly skilled Lead DevOps Engineer. This pivotal role is integral to advancing their cloud infrastructure and automation capabilities, supporting ongoing digital transformation initiatives. The successful candidate will have a significant impact by leading DevOps practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and ensuring seamless delivery of resilient and scalable solutions.
Responsibilities:
Lead the design, implementation, and management of scalable cloud infrastructure using industry best practices.
Oversee automation of deployment, configuration, and monitoring processes across environments.
Collaborate with development teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines and improve deployment efficiencies.
Implement and maintain infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform.
Enforce security standards and optimise system performance, reliability, and availability.
Mentor and guide junior team members, promoting a DevOps culture across the organisation.
Provide expert support for troubleshooting complex infrastructure and deployment issues.
Drive innovation by researching and integrating emerging technologies and methodologies.
Essential Skills & Experience:
Extensive experience working with AWS cloud services and architecture.
Proven expertise in containerisation and orchestration tools, particularly Kubernetes.
Strong scripting skills in Python, along with proficiency in automation and configuration management tools.
Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code, preferably Terraform.
Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.
Knowledge of security principles related to cloud and infrastructure management.
Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams.
Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Desirable Skills & Experience:
Experience with other cloud providers such as Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
Certification related to AWS, Kubernetes, or DevOps (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer).
Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack.
Experience with Python development for automation and tooling.
