Job description
We are seeking an experienced Python Developer to join our development team and help build and enhance a healthcare software platform. This role will be responsible for writing high-quality code and contributing to the development of the platform from the ground up.
The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with Python and Django, a solid background working within the healthcare industry, and the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical team members.
Responsibilities
- Write, develop, test, and maintain Python/Django code for the software platform.
- Build new features, functionality, and backend systems.
- Translate product and business requirements into reliable technical solutions.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers, developers, healthcare subject-matter experts, and leadership.
- Participate in the development of the platform from initial build through launch and ongoing improvements.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues.
- Ensure code is scalable, maintainable, secure, and built according to development best practices.
- Contribute ideas and technical recommendations to improve the platform and development process.
- Help ensure the software appropriately supports healthcare-related workflows and requirements.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of professional Django development experience required.
- Strong proficiency in Python and Django.
- Minimum 3 years of healthcare industry experience required.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Experience developing and maintaining production software applications.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with developers, designers, product stakeholders, and healthcare professionals.
- Detail-oriented and committed to writing high-quality, reliable code.
