Director of Operations

Position Overview:

A growing manufacturing and distribution company is seeking a hands-on Director of Operations to oversee and optimize all core business operations. This high-impact leadership role is responsible for driving efficiency, accountability, and performance across three key departments: Office/Quoting/Purchasing, Warehouse/Production, and Shipping.

The ideal candidate is a strong operator who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership, works independently, and leads by example. This individual will partner closely with ownership to identify inefficiencies, streamline workflows, improve profitability, and build scalable operational processes.

This is a fully onsite position requiring a consistent leadership presence from 7AM to 4PM Monday-Thursday and 7AM to 12PM Fridays.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day operations across Office/Quoting/Purchasing, Warehouse/Production, and Shipping departments
• Lead and support department managers while driving accountability and cross-functional collaboration
• Evaluate existing workflows and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity
• Identify operational bottlenecks and develop practical solutions that improve performance and profitability
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) across all departments
• Improve communication, coordination, and execution between teams
• Create and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to support consistency and scalability
• Analyze operational data and metrics to drive informed business decisions
• Work closely with ownership to execute strategic initiatives and growth objectives
• Foster a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and operational excellence

Qualifications:

• 3-10+ years of operations, manufacturing, warehouse, distribution, or business management experience
• Proven ability to improve processes, increase efficiency, and drive measurable operational results
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing multiple departments and teams
• Self-motivated, independent, and comfortable making decisions without constant oversight
• Ability to hold managers and employees accountable while maintaining positive working relationships
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Fluent in both Yiddish and English
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and operational management systems
• Comfortable working in a hands-on environment and spending time on the production floor when needed

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary: $100,000-$200,000+ DOE
• Performance-based compensation tied directly to operational improvements and company growth
