Job description
The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) is the senior physician executive responsible for enterprise clinical governance, physician strategy, resident safety, quality, regulatory excellence, physician services, and clinical innovation across a growing skilled nursing enterprise. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the CMO initially oversees four facilities before expanding to enterprise responsibility across a 40-facility portfolio while preserving the statutory responsibilities of each facility Medical Director, Administrator, Governing Body, Director of Nursing, and Compliance Officer.
Lead enterprise clinical strategy.
Standardize evidence-based care.
Oversee physician recruitment, credentialing, privileging, peer review and succession.
Lead QAPI, infection prevention, resident safety and emergency preparedness.
Improve quality, survey readiness and value-based performance.
Represent the organization with hospitals, payers and regulators.
