Chief of Care Management

Remote | Occasional Travel as Needed
$200,000 – $250,000

 

Overview

A large, established human services organization is seeking a Chief of Care Management to provide executive leadership over a large, multi-layered care management operation.

This is a newly created senior leadership role overseeing an organization of approximately 800 Care Managers, with VPs, Regional Directors, and Supervisors responsible for day-to-day execution across the organization.

The Chief of Care Management will be responsible for strengthening leadership, improving quality and consistency, driving accountability, and using data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.

This is not a Director-level role. The organization is looking for an experienced, highly capable leader who can oversee senior leadership, understand what is happening throughout the operation, and turn data and performance information into actionable recommendations and measurable improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the overall Care Management function, including VPs, Regional Directors, Supervisors, and Care Managers
  • Drive accountability, consistency, and performance across teams and regions
  • Review data and reporting to identify trends, gaps, and areas for improvement
  • Turn findings into practical recommendations and ensure follow-through
  • Strengthen quality, training, supervision, and operational standards
  • Partner with the COO and senior leadership on strategic priorities
  • Improve coordination across Care Management, Quality, Clinical, and Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with OPWDD requirements and organizational standards
  • Represent the organization in high-level agency and leadership meetings
  • Lead special projects and improvement initiatives as needed

Qualifications

  • of Human Services and/or Care Management experience
  • IDD / OPWDD experience
  • Strong experience leading a large, layered organization
  • Proven ability to manage senior leaders and drive accountability
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using data to improve performance and guide decision-making
  • Strong understanding of quality, compliance, care management, and operational performance
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
