The Role:
As a Business Development Representative (BDR), you’ll be on the front lines of our sales organization, responsible for identifying, engaging, and qualifying potential clients. You will play a critical role in creating pipeline for our Account Executives by proactively sourcing new business opportunities, responding to inbound interest, and booking high-quality meetings. This is a foundational role with clear career progression into sales, marketing, or customer success.
Responsibilities:
Identify and research high-potential target accounts and key decision-makers across financial institutions, research firms, and asset management companies.
Drive outbound prospecting efforts through a mix of cold calls, personalized email outreach, LinkedIn engagement, and social selling strategies.
Proactively follow up on marketing-generated leads from webinars, events, and digital campaigns to convert interest into qualified opportunities.
Respond promptly and professionally to inbound leads and inquiries, ensuring a seamless prospect experience.
Qualify leads using the BANT framework (Budget, Authority, Need, and Timeline) to assess fit and readiness for engagement.
Collaborate closely with Account Executives to route and hand off qualified opportunities, ensuring smooth transitions through the sales funnel.
Meeting Booking & Sales Support
Secure and schedule discovery calls and demos for the sales team
Maintain detailed records of activities, touchpoints, and conversations in the CRM (e.g., Salesforce or HubSpot)
Collaborate with Account Executives and Marketing to refine messaging and optimize outreach strategies
Performance Tracking & Growth
Meet and exceed weekly/monthly KPIs including calls, emails, meetings booked, and opportunities created
Continuously learn about BlueMatrix’s products, industry trends, and client challenges
Participate in team trainings, sales meetings, and cross-functional projects to grow your skills
Job Requirements:
1–2 years of experience in a BDR, SDR, or sales-related role (B2B SaaS or FinTech experience is a plus)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Comfortable with cold outreach and high-volume prospecting
Organized, self-motivated, and eager to learn
Experience using CRM and sales engagement tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, Outreach, ZoomInfo)
Knowledge of financial services, capital markets, or research workflows is a bonus
