Responsibilities

Hartgrove Behavioral Health System consists of a 160-bed acute care expanding to 208 beds, crisis stabilization, for-profit psychiatric hospital, treating children as young as 3 through older adults, within 8 different inpatient programs. We have one of the largest pediatric psychiatric programs in the state of Illinois and are most proud to be the first and currently only hospital in the country to have received the Joint Commission’s Disease Specific Certification designations for Neuropsychiatry and Trauma Services. We also received our second award as a Top Performer on Key Quality Measures from The Joint Commission.

Garfield Park Behavioral Hospital consists of 88-beds and is dedicated to providing behavioral health and psychiatric support to children and teens ages 3 to 17. Above all else, we treat every patient with compassion and respect. Using evidence-based treatment approaches and individualized care, we strive to instill hope in our patients, their families and our community.

Are you a talented recruiter who wants your work to truly matter?
Hartgrove Behavioral Health System and Garfield Park Behavioral Hospital are looking for a Healthcare Recruiter to lead our talent acquisition efforts. In this role, you will help us build compassionate, expert teams for our inpatient, outpatient, and specialty programs.
You will guide candidates from their first touchpoint through onboarding. Your work directly ensures our patients receive life-changing care.

Job Duties:

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
Manages the full recruitment lifecycle for assigned positions from job posting to hire.
Conducts initial candidate screenings and assessments to present qualified talent to hiring managers.
Coordinates interview schedules, extends employment offers.
Sources potential candidates by attending job fairs, recruitment events, and exploring new talent avenues.
Defines applicant requirements by analyzing job descriptions and collaborating with hiring managers.
Operations & Technology
Posts job openings and maintains data accuracy within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
Tracks and updates vacancy lists and new hire records.
Collaboration & Compliance

Partners with the HR Director to determine appropriate salary and hourly wages for applicants.
Ensures strict compliance with all local, state, and federal employment regulations.
Facilitate onboarding process, including reference checks, background/ drug screenings, hiring paperwork, DCFS, IDPH Health Worker registry, & Licensure screening.
Follows up with new hires to guarantee seamless onboarding experience.
Relationship Management & Professional Development
Delivers an exceptional customer experience through clear communication with candidates, managers, vendors, and HR team members.
Builds strong relationships across the organization to champion service excellence.
Participates actively in meetings, training sessions, in-services, and professional conferences.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Organizational Leadership, Business, or related field required.

Experience: 1- 3 years of recruiting experience required; Prior healthcare human resources and/or clinical recruiting experience strongly preferred
