Job description

A growing payroll technology company is looking for a sharp, highly driven Field Sales Representative to bring new companies onto its payroll platform.

The company provides an easy-to-use payroll solution that businesses use to process and manage employee payroll.

We are looking for someone who is a true people person and dealmaker — someone who knows how to get in the door, build relationships with business owners and decision-makers, and turn those relationships into new accounts.

Existing connections within the healthcare industry are a major plus.

This is a commission-based, field sales position with strong earning potential for someone who can produce.

What You'll Do

  • Prospect and bring new businesses onto the company's payroll platform
  • Spend significant time out in the field, meeting business owners and decision-makers
  • Build a strong pipeline of prospective clients
  • Develop relationships within the healthcare industry, including healthcare organizations, medical groups, facilities, agencies, and other employers
  • Leverage existing industry connections to open doors and generate new business
  • Network, attend industry events, make introductions, and continuously develop new relationships
  • Demonstrate the payroll platform and explain its value to prospective clients
  • Follow up consistently with prospects and move deals forward
  • Negotiate and close new accounts
  • Build long-term relationships that lead to referrals and additional opportunities

Who We're Looking For

We want someone who:

  • Is a natural salesperson and relationship builder
  • Is hungry, ambitious, and highly motivated by earning potential
  • Loves being out meeting people rather than sitting behind a desk
  • Is confident walking into a business and speaking with an owner or executive
  • Knows how to network and open doors
  • Is persistent and excellent at follow-up
  • Can work independently and doesn't need to be micromanaged
  • Understands how to build trust and turn relationships into business
  • Healthcare relationships are highly preferred. Someone who already knows healthcare owners, operators, administrators, executives, or other decision-makers would be an especially strong fit.
