Who We Are Looking For: We’re looking for a technical hire interested in a fast-paced environment and opportunities for direct mentorship. The role is open as a Founding Engineer, with compensation and scope calibrated to your experience. This presents an opportunity to take ownership, build innovative products, and make a positive impact on patient healthcare. In this role, you’ll work under the Lead Software Engineer and contribute across a wide range of products, from scaling massive data pipelines, implementing analytics systems, building a seamless customer interaction system, and filing disputes. Successful candidates will be excellent systems thinkers, data competent, curious about healthcare, adaptable, and able to deploy their core technical and creative skills to tackle a wide range of problems. Job Description: Design and maintain multi-step LLM agent pipelines that take real, auditable actions on behalf of patients Architect and maintain data pipelines that ingest, normalize, and query large-scale healthcare data including provider directories, negotiated rates, and claims records Translate real-world situations and healthcare data into system improvements Implement access controls, audit trails, and data handling practices for PHI-adjacent workflows Build verification and eval frameworks to validate agent output before it reaches patients or payers. Design and document failure modes – systems that escalate correctly, fail safely, and leave a clear record Required Qualifications: Evidence of exceptional ability in software engineering or AI systems Strong backend fundamentals – Node.js/TypeScript, Python, SQL Experience with React. Preferred Qualifications: Large-scale data pipeline experience (ingestion, transformation, validation) Familiarity with healthcare data formats (HL7 FHIR resources, X12 837/835 claims) Agent orchestration experience (hand-rolled preferred, LangChain or similar a plus) Experience in healthcare, legal AI, or other audit-critical domains Security fundamentals (access control, audit logging, PHI) AWS infrastructure (EC2, S3) Understanding of feedback loops with data
