About you: You are: A Frontend Expert: Deep experience with React modern frontend frameworks and familiarity with UI testing tools (bonus if you’ve worked with Next.js and/or Blitz) Product Focused: You always keep our users’ needs and the usability of our product top of mind. A Proactive Problem Solver: You don’t wait for instructions—you identify gaps, propose solutions, and take ownership of results. Flexible: You’re excited to dive in where needed to meet our clients’ needs. A Clear Communicator: Whether it’s breaking down technical issues for a product manager or communicating incidents during a payroll failure, you keep stakeholders aligned and informed. Operationally Reliable: You thrive under pressure, stay calm during incidents, and prioritize rapid, effective solutions. Requirements Experience designing scalable, maintainable and well-tested, high performance frontend architecture Experience working on high-stakes, detail-oriented products Experience building web applications professionally for 5+ years, with 2+ years of experience in some combination of Typescript/Javascript/React Experience with responsible AI usage (both as a feature and for productivity) Experience at a small startup (bonus points if it was a fintech startup) (bonus) Experience working with SQL/Relational databases You’ll Be Working On Frontend Development: Build fast, user-friendly interfaces to enhance workflows for payroll and treasury professionals. Translate complex data into actionable and clear UI components, ensuring scalability and high responsiveness. Conduct testing and debugging of frontend components to guarantee functionality. Use client insights to build solutions that improve their workflows Develop frontend components that can scale to enterprise-level clients managing millions of payments. Rapidly test and refine features, especially for client-critical workflows like payroll, where delays or errors can have significant downstream effects. Product Collaboration Break down high-level requests into actionable engineering tasks, estimating complexity and ensuring clarity before diving into development. Collaborate with product team to scope and define key features that address client needs, ensuring alignment with the broader product vision.
