Director of Operations

We’re seeking a collaborative, mission-driven Director of Operations to help our vibrant Reform Jewish congregation of 400 member families run smoothly, efficiently, and warmly. This leader will oversee daily operations, facilities, finances, staffing systems, and event logistics while supporting clergy, educators, lay leaders, staff, members, and guests.

What You’ll Do
Lead day-to-day synagogue operations, administration, facilities, vendors, safety, and organizational systems.
Support staff supervision, HR coordination, budgeting, financial administration, and board reporting.
Coordinate logistics for services, holidays, lifecycle events, programs, and community gatherings.
Partner closely with clergy, educators, board of directors, committee chairs, professional staff, and volunteers.

What You’ll Bring
Experience in operations, administration, facilities, nonprofit management, or a related leadership role.
Strong organizational, communication, project management, and problem-solving skills.
Comfort with temple management software systems, vendor relationships, and collaborative decision-making.
A warm, service-oriented leadership style aligned with congregational life and community values.
