POSITION SUMMARY
Reports to: Traci Reisberg, Associate Vice President, School Advancement

Prizmah is seeking an experienced fundraising professional to join our School Advancement team. The School Advancement team works with individual day schools, communities of day schools, federations, and foundations on a wide variety of programs and initiatives related to day school enrollment, affordability, and development and fundraising.

The Associate Director will help drive Prizmah's work supporting school professionals and lay leaders in the areas of fundraising and development. This individual will design and deliver programs, build community among development professionals across the field, and provide direct consulting support to schools. In addition to their development focus, the Associate Director will contribute to Prizmah's work in day school affordability and governance and lay leadership, collaborating closely with colleagues across the School Advancement team. This role requires both development experience and a collaborative spirit.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Development and Fundraising
Facilitate Prizmah's professional learning communities for school development professionals, including monthly meetups, periodic deep dives, and peer cohort gatherings
Support the ongoing delivery and evolution of the Endowment Training Institute, including supporting school participants, managing program logistics, and contributing to curriculum development
Design, curate, and facilitate workshops, webinars, and programming for development professionals, heads of school, and lay leaders across key areas of fundraising and endowment development
Develop thought leadership content, tools, and resources that reflect current fundraising trends and best practices for Jewish day schools
Affordability
Contribute to the planning and delivery of affordability-related programs, including workshops, institutes, and professional learning for school leaders and lay leaders
Support resource development and thought leadership on day school affordability models, including tuition flexibility, middle-income affordability, and communal funding strategies
Support Prizmah's work on the Federal Tax Credit Scholarship Program, including developing resources, building relationships with relevant stakeholders, and helping schools understand and access scholarship funding opportunities
Governance and Lay Leadership
Contribute to the design and delivery of programs and resources for school board members, heads of school, and lay leaders focused on effective governance, board-staff partnerships, the board's role in fundraising and day school affordability
Support the development of community and resources for lay leaders to build their capacity to lead and support their schools
Stay current on governance trends in the nonprofit and Jewish day school sectors and bring learnings to the team to inform resources and programming for Prizmah's network
Program Development and Collaboration
Manage defined projects and initiatives within the School Advancement team, setting priorities and timelines and ensuring quality execution
Collaborate across the School Advancement team on shared initiatives and annual planning, identifying emerging needs in the field and recommending program directions
Partner with Prizmah's Marketing and Communications team to develop content and communications that elevate Prizmah's work in development, affordability, and governance

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate brings experience in fundraising, a genuine passion for the Jewish day school field, and the ability to translate their knowledge into meaningful programming and direct support for schools.

We are looking for someone who:
Has a minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in nonprofit fundraising, with a track record of success in areas such as annual giving, major gifts, endowment development, or campaign fundraising; experience in Jewish day school or Jewish communal fundraising is a significant plus
Brings demonstrated subject matter knowledge in development and fundraising, with the ability to translate that experience into compelling programming and direct school support
Can facilitate and present well, brings experience designing and delivering professional learning for a range of adult audiences
Builds trust and credibility with school professionals, heads of school, and lay leaders through strong relationship skills
Manages multiple projects simultaneously with a high degree of independence and strong organizational skills
Is comfortable working with financial data and spreadsheets; proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets is expected, and familiarity with nonprofit financial reporting or school budget analysis is a plus
Holds a genuine commitment to Prizmah's mission; deep familiarity with North American Jewish day schools is a significant asset
Has a bachelor's degree; CFRE or other professional credential in fundraising is a plus
