About the Role:
A growing company is hiring a Software Developer / Systems Architect to take ownership of the development, architecture, and ongoing enhancement of its custom software platform. This is a hands-on role that combines system design with day-to-day coding — building new features, integrations, and automations that support how the business runs. The person in this seat will work directly with leadership and department heads across sales, onboarding, operations, billing, customer success, and reporting to shape the technology behind the company's growth.

Key Responsibilities

Software Development & Systems Architecture

• Develop, maintain, and enhance the company's custom software platform
• Design scalable system architecture based on business and operational requirements
• Build new features, workflows, automations, and internal tools
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and development plans
• Develop integrations with external platforms, APIs, and business applications
• Help determine the best technical approach for new systems and functionality

Application Development & Implementation

• Take projects from initial concept and architecture through development, testing, and implementation
• Write, review, and maintain clean, scalable, and efficient code
• Work closely with leadership and department heads to understand operational needs
• Develop AI-powered workflows and automation solutions where appropriate
• Troubleshoot technical issues and continuously improve system performance
• Support QA, testing, debugging, and deployment

Systems Optimization & Growth

• Continuously improve the platform's architecture, functionality, and reliability
• Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve operational efficiency
• Evaluate existing systems and recommend technical improvements
• Ensure integrations and internal systems work together effectively
• Help shape the company's long-term technology and software development strategy

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a similar technical field required
• Strong professional experience in software development
• Strong understanding of software architecture, system design, and application development
• Experience developing and integrating APIs and third-party systems
• Strong programming skills and ability to work across different technologies
• Experience building business applications, internal tools, or custom software platforms
• Understanding of databases, workflows, integrations, and system architecture
• Experience with AI tools, automation, and AI-powered application development a strong plus
• Ability to troubleshoot, debug, test, and optimize software
• Strong business understanding and ability to translate operational needs into technical solutions
• Highly personable and comfortable working directly with leadership and multiple departments
