Position Overview:
A growing logistics and supply chain company is seeking a full-time Cash Flow Analyst / Senior Bookkeeper to join its team in Carteret, NJ. This is a high-impact position that works directly with company leadership to provide visibility into the organization's cash position and short-term financial outlook.
The primary responsibility of this role is managing the company's rolling 13-week cash flow forecast. The ideal candidate will be highly analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable translating accounting data into meaningful cash flow projections that support strategic business decisions. While traditional bookkeeping and accounting responsibilities are part of the position, the majority of time will be dedicated to forecasting, monitoring, and analyzing cash flow.
Responsibilities:
- Own and maintain the company's rolling 13-week cash flow forecast
- Track expected cash receipts and disbursements and update projections on an ongoing basis
- Monitor actual cash activity against forecasted results and analyze variances
- Identify potential cash shortages, liquidity concerns, and opportunities to improve cash management
- Prepare cash flow reports and provide financial insights to company leadership
- Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Process invoicing, vendor payments, and collections follow-up
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
- Maintain the general ledger, including journal entries
- Assist with month-end close and financial reporting
- Communicate with vendors and internal teams regarding payments and discrepancies
- Support day-to-day accounting and administrative functions
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance in all financial data
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of bookkeeping, accounting, cash management, or financial analysis experience
- Experience preparing and managing cash flow forecasts, preferably rolling 13-week forecasts
- Strong understanding of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, reconciliations, and general ledger accounting
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
