Position Description

Title: General Laborer

Department: Various

Immediate Supervisor: Plant Supervisory Staff

Status: Hourly, Non - Exempt, Union

Position Purpose: Performs General Labor duties

Principle Accountabilities

Remove finished products from the machine.
Place a product label on the completed products as per specification.
Place the product in to bags and cartons as per specification.
Place the finished product onto skids or to its proper location as per specification.
Ensure work area is to be always kept clean and tidy throughout the shift.
Effectively communicate with both the operator, assistant operator, and the supervisor.
Willing to assist in other areas of the plant when required.
All duties outlined in Responsibilities of All Plant Employees.
All other duties as assigned

Essential Skills and Experience

High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
2+ Years in a Manufacturing environment / general labor experience preferred.
Intermediate math skills and English written communication skills necessary.
Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours at a time required
Ability to work in space limited work area on continuous basis.
Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs on a consistent basis
General computer knowledge and experience handling paperwork
Effective interpersonal skills
Ability to perform the physical aspects of the role following recommended practices, with an emphasis on safety and injury prevention
Inventory experience preferred
