Job description

About Us

At The Family Security Plan, we’ve spent over 50 years helping underserved communities access financial wellness and affordable insurance protection.

We partner with credit unions to connect our sales professionals with warm, qualified opportunities—while also empowering them to build their own pipeline through referrals and relationships.

Our culture is built on:

Growth and advancement
Recognition of top performers
A supportive, team-driven environment
And a mission that truly makes a difference
The Opportunity

We’re looking for confident, results-driven sales professionals who thrive in fast-paced, high-conversion environments.

As an Insurance Agent, you’ll engage directly with credit union members—guiding conversations, uncovering needs in real time, and confidently moving prospects toward a decision.

This is not a passive sales role. It’s for someone who:

Takes control of conversations
Moves quickly from rapport to close
And knows how to turn opportunities into results
What’s In It for You

$55,000 starting base salary, increasing to $60,000 after 4 months and $65,000 after 8 months of active employment.
Uncapped commission (your earning potential is in your hands)
Incentives, bonuses, and profit sharing
Paid holidays + PTO
Paid training and ongoing development
Exotic award trips
Full benefits package
Who Thrives in This Role

You’ll succeed here if you’re a high-energy, accountable closer who can build trust fast and guide conversations with confidence.

Top performers:

Think quickly and adapt in real time
Handle objections (especially “I don’t have time”) with ease
Don’t rely on heavy scripts—they know how to sell naturally
Move conversations toward clear next steps—including payment
Stay driven, resilient, and focused on results
Your Background Might Include

We welcome candidates from a variety of high-performance sales environments, including:

Wireless/cellular sales
Automotive or commission-based retail
Consumer finance, lending, or collections
Any quota-driven, high-volume sales role
Insurance or financial services experience is a plus—but not required if you have strong sales fundamentals.

What You Bring

Proven success in face-to-face or phone-based sales
Strong objection-handling skills
Confidence in closing and securing next steps in real time
Tech-savviness and ability to work efficiently
A positive, coachable, and resilient mindset
You should also have:

Insurance license (or willingness to obtain)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to travel to worksites as needed
Reliable internet access
How You Sell Matters

We’re proud of the way we do business.

Our team leads with:
Drive. Passion. Resilience. Integrity. Caring.

You’ll be working within credit union communities—so the ability to build trust, connect authentically, and represent our brand with professionalism is essential.

What You’ll Do

Engage credit union members and present insurance solutions
Build relationships and generate referrals
Identify and develop new business opportunities (SEG accounts)
Assess needs and recommend tailored coverage
Close sales and ensure accurate documentation
Partner with credit union staff to maximize opportunities
Participate in sales meetings, training, and reporting
Consistently hit performance and production goals

Is This You?

Driven, goal-oriented, and competitive
Comfortable in fast-paced, high-accountability environments
Motivated by income potential and performance
Passionate about helping others while achieving results
