Assistant Gym Manager

Job Overview:

The key function of the Assistant Gym Manager will be to help the Gym Manager run the day-to-day operations of the club. The Assistant Gym Manager will be an active participant of the team and will play a key part in creating a great place to work – and workout – for the team throughout the entire gym & the members of PureGym.

Responsibilities:

This is a full-time position, involved with everything from member experience to team development, you will support the Gym Manager in the following:

Deliver an excellent member experience in the club through a constant focus on service and standards, alongside the Gym Manager
Assist the Gym Manager in recruitment of Personal Trainers and Gym Floor Associates and work with the Gym Manager to help onboard all new team members.
Interview, hire and develop all new members of the team to ensure they have a great onboarding experience.
Maintain our levels for cleanliness and organization of all areas in the gym.
Ensure the safety of Members, Guests and Team at all times.

Requirements

Proven leadership ability in a fitness, leisure, hospitality or retail setting.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Enthusiastic, energetic, friendly and personable
Passionate, intelligent and knowledgeable regarding the fitness industry
Ability to successfully obtain CPR/AED certification within 30 days of hire
