Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) with AI

The Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) is a hands-on leader who partners with clients to
translate business intent into technical solutions, validate AI-generated outputs, and drive
adoption. FDEs operate within multi-craft Forward Deployed PODs, collaborating across
disciplines to deliver outcomes in days instead of months.

This role is ideal for engineers who thrive in ambiguity, excel at stakeholder communication, and
are fluent in AI-native workflows and modern engineering stacks.

Key Responsibilities

Mob Elaboration: Lead or contribute to ideation sessions, decompose business intent
into requirements, and frame non-functional requirements (NFRs) and risks.
Mob Construction: Review AI-generated designs, code, and deployment artefacts;
ensure correctness and usability; collaborate with product, design, and quality teams.
Mob Operations: Govern AI-driven deployments, approve remediations, and monitor
system health.
Partner with strategy, product, experience, and data crafts to assemble the right context
for AI workflows.
Act as a trusted advisor to executives and technical stakeholders.
Required Skills & Competencies

Deep engineering expertise in Java, Azure cloud services, and React.
Strong consulting and stakeholder management skills.
Domain literacy (healthcare, payer/provider preferred).
Fluency in AI-native tools including Claude and Copilot; ability to detect hallucinations or over-engineering.
Comfort operating in ambiguity and contested environments.
Collaborative mindset with product, strategy, and design crafts.
