Job description
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee commercial and industrial construction projects throughout the Baltimore region.
This individual will be responsible for managing all aspects of assigned projects from preconstruction through closeout, including client relationships, budgets, schedules, subcontractors, procurement, project financials, and team coordination.
The ideal candidate is a proactive leader who can successfully manage multiple projects while maintaining strong relationships with customers, field teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Manage projects from award through completion
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients
Develop and maintain strong customer relationships
Review project plans, specifications, contracts, and scope requirements
Monitor budgets, schedules, project costs, and profitability
Lead change order management and risk assessment activities
Coordinate procurement activities with vendors and subcontractors
Review and submit payment applications, submittals, RFIs, change requests, and closeout documents
Attend project meetings and maintain communication with all stakeholders
Ensure project financials are accurate and up to date
Promote safety, quality, and operational excellence on every project
Partner with field leadership to successfully execute projects
Identify opportunities for additional business and future work
Qualifications
5+ years of Project Management experience within construction
Commercial, industrial, electrical, mechanical, or specialty contractor experience preferred
Strong understanding of project financials, contracts, and change management
Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
Proven ability to drive projects to successful completion
Preferred
Existing customer relationships that could generate future business
Ability to attract or develop field talent
Experience with ERP/project management software
Electrical construction experience highly desirable
