Mainframe Systems Manager

Seeking an experienced Mainframe Systems Manager to lead enterprise IBM mainframe operations and infrastructure support. This role is responsible for overseeing daily mainframe system operations, managing technical teams, ensuring system availability, supporting disaster recovery initiatives, and driving infrastructure upgrades and modernization efforts.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and lead the Mainframe Systems team
Oversee IBM mainframe operations, monitoring, and support
Ensure high availability and SLA compliance for production systems
Lead z/OS administration, performance tuning, and capacity planning
Support disaster recovery planning, testing, and implementation
Manage hardware/software upgrades and infrastructure projects
Coordinate with vendors and internal technical teams
Troubleshoot critical production incidents and provide 24/7 support when required
Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures
Required Skills
Strong IBM Mainframe and z/OS administration experience
Experience with CICS, DB2, IMS, MQ, RACF, JES2/JES3, SMP/E
Mainframe performance monitoring and capacity planning
Disaster recovery and high-availability experience
Production support and troubleshooting expertise
Experience managing enterprise infrastructure projects
Team leadership and operational management experience

Parallel Sysplex experience
Mainframe modernization exposure
Financial services or large enterprise environment experience
