Job description

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Permanent Treasury Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, where you will play a crucial role in managing and improving our financial operations. You will be responsible for a wide range of treasury functions including cash management, financial forecasting, and financial risk management. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and a high level of proficiency in SQL and VBA.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee daily cash management operations including cash forecasting, cash flow analysis, and liquidity management.
2. Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, highlighting any significant issues or risks.
3. Develop and maintain complex financial models using SQL and VBA to support strategic decision making.
4. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
5. Assist in the development and implementation of treasury policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency and reduce financial risk.
6. Conduct regular financial risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate identified risks.
7. Participate in ad-hoc projects and perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 2 years of experience in treasury, finance, or a related field, with a strong focus on cash management and financial risk management.
3. Proficiency in SQL and VBA. Experience with other financial software and systems would be an asset.
4. Strong analytical skills and the ability to develop complex financial models.
5. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
6. High level of integrity and professionalism, with the ability to handle sensitive financial information confidentially.
7. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions under pressure.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
9. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
