A growing Certified Home Health Agency (CHHA) is seeking an experienced and hands-on Executive Director of Operations to oversee and lead the company’s day-to-day operations.
This is a true leadership position for someone who understands the CHHA/home healthcare industry from the inside and knows how to run a healthcare operation effectively. The COO will oversee both office-based and field operations, ensuring that all departments work together efficiently and that the organization continues to grow while maintaining strong operational and regulatory standards.
The ideal candidate will be a strong leader who can take ownership of the operation, build accountability across departments, solve problems, and ensure that the business runs smoothly from intake and coordination through billing and field operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the CHHA and serve as the key operational leader.
- Lead and manage both office-based and field teams.
- Oversee departments including intake, coordinators, billing, scheduling, staffing, and field operations.
- Establish clear processes, procedures, and accountability across departments.
- Monitor operational performance, productivity, and key performance indicators.
- Identify operational issues and implement solutions to improve efficiency and profitability.
- Ensure strong communication and coordination between office staff, field personnel, patients, and management.
- Develop and manage department leaders, ensuring teams are properly staffed, trained, and performing effectively.
- Work closely with ownership/executive leadership on company strategy, growth, and operational goals.
- Ensure compliance with applicable healthcare regulations, policies, and CHHA requirements.
- Help develop and implement systems and procedures that allow the organization to scale.
- Take ownership of operational challenges and drive issues through to resolution.
- Create a culture of accountability, professionalism, teamwork, and high performance.
Requirements
- Must have significant experience working within a CHHA or comparable home healthcare organization.
- Strong understanding of CHHA operations and the home healthcare business model is required.
- Proven experience managing multiple departments and large teams.
- Experience overseeing both office and field personnel.
- Strong understanding of intake, coordination, scheduling, billing, staffing, and overall home healthcare operations.
- Proven leadership and management skills.
- Strong business judgment and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to take ownership and operate independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Experience improving processes, systems, and operational efficiency.
What We’re Looking For

This is an opportunity for the right person to have a major impact on the growth and success of a growing healthcare organization.
