Accountant

Accountant | Lakewood, NJ

A growing finance team is seeking an accountant to join its team of professionals. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys staying involved in the day-to-day numbers while also seeing the bigger financial picture.

Responsibilities include:

• Taking ownership of assigned portfolio with care and attention to detail
• Keeping the general ledger accurate and up to date
• Reconciling balance-sheet accounts and recording journal entries
• Helping manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings
• Reviewing balance sheets and income statements
• Putting together reports for management, investors, banks, and lenders
• Organizing financial information for tax preparation and compliance
• Preparing distributions and capital calls
• Reviewing and recording purchase and refinance closing statements
• Tracking cash activity, notice trends and raise awareness to management

Position details: 

• In office position, in our Lakewood office
• Schedule: Mon-Thurs 9am-4pm and shorter Fridays.
• $65,000-$85,000, commensurate with experience
