Position Summary

The Associate Director - Principal Infrastructure Services Delivery Engineer plays a vital role in ensuring the support, stability, and ongoing enhancement of enterprise server and infrastructure platforms. This includes managing Windows and Linux environments, as well as underlying compute, virtualization, and cloud systems. The role involves providing advanced production support, leading operational initiatives, and driving project-driven improvements to maintain high availability and performance in a complex, mission-critical environment.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver advanced Level 2 and Level 3 support for Windows and Linux server environments across the enterprise.

Oversee the stability, availability, and performance of infrastructure components such as operating systems, virtualization, and core platform services.

Manage patching, upgrades, and lifecycle processes for Windows and Linux platforms, aligning with security, compliance, and enterprise standards.

Administer and support identity and authentication systems including Active Directory, LDAP, SSSD, GPOs, DNS, DHCP, sudo, and access controls.

Perform server provisioning, configuration, and decommissioning for physical, virtual, and cloud-based systems.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to OS, hardware, and platform components, including CPU, memory, disk, network, storage, and kernel services.

Lead or contribute to automation and scripting efforts using tools such as PowerShell, Bash, and Python to enhance operational efficiency.

Ensure environment resilience, performance, and recoverability through proactive monitoring, maintenance, and capacity planning.

Coordinate system maintenance, upgrades, and deployment activities following established change and release management processes.

Respond to critical and major incidents, leading end-to-end restoration, root cause analysis, and post-incident review efforts.

Support application deployments by collaborating with application, database, middleware, storage, network, and security teams.

Develop operational metrics, dashboards, and KPIs to deliver actionable insights for leadership.

Promote platform standardization, best practices, and continuous improvement across various environments.

Act as a technical escalation point and mentor for engineers supporting Windows, Linux, and platform operations.
