Job description
This is a fully onsite role (M-F Day shift). Previous HIM experience is needed. Chart processing experience is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
A day in the life of a Lead Deficiency Tracking/Supervisor Analyst at Hackensack Meridian Health includes:
Coordinates the daily tasks of their respective areas within HI.
Organizes and follows through with the implementation of the department's workflow and processes.
Ensures that the daily goals and metrics are met by accomplishing related duties as required.
Leads team members and may serve as a source of information for team members on established processes.
Notifies the supervisor of any situation requiring escalation.
Provides for smooth day-to-day flow of communications within the team.
Serves as a liaison with other areas in and out of HI and keeps the supervisor informed of relevant information.
May assist in peer interviewing, training, scheduling and distributing work to other team members.
Assists the supervisor with bi-weekly payroll activities including troubleshooting any issues in the event there are discrepancies in a team member's paycheck.
Maintains and monitors schedules and time punches on a daily basis.
Reports any HI issues/problems to supervisors and/or managers.
Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
Qualifications
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs.
Minimum of one year experience in medical records.
Effective communication skills and efficient problem solving skills.
Proficient in computer skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient computer skills such as Microsoft Office and Google Suite platforms.
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:
Associates Degree in Health Information Management (HIM) or health related field.
