STEM Tutor

What You'll Do

Provide personalized one-on-one in-home tutoring sessions to students in the Ridgewood, NJ area and surrounding communities
Support students across a range of STEM subjects including but not limited to Algebra, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics
Tailor each session to the student's individual learning style, pace, and academic goals
Support students with executive functioning skills such as study habits, time management, and organization alongside academic content
Submit a brief session report after each session to track progress and keep families informed
Maintain a consistent weekly schedule and communicate proactively with our coordination team
Build a positive, encouraging, and trust-based relationship with your student and their family

What We're Looking For
Strong subject knowledge in one or more STEM areas
Previous tutoring, teaching, or academic mentoring experience required
Degree in a STEM field or related area strongly preferred
Reliable, punctual, and committed to a consistent weekly schedule
Patient, adaptable, and able to connect with students of varying skill levels and learning styles
Comfortable working in a home environment and communicating professionally with parents
Must have reliable transportation to travel to student homes in the Ridgewood area and surrounding communities
Must be able to pass a background check
