Job description

We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst to lead a high-impact machine identity and agentic AI governance initiative for a large enterprise environment in New York, New York. This Long-term Contract position will guide the design, rollout, and day-to-day operational framework for governing non-human identities across cloud platforms, enterprise applications, and cybersecurity domains. The role requires close partnership with technical and business stakeholders to create scalable controls, improve visibility, and support responsible AI adoption with effective governance practices.

Responsibilities:
Lead the implementation of a machine identity governance program across enterprise systems, cloud environments, and connected business applications.
Coordinate with engineering, identity, and security teams to define operating procedures for discovery, classification, ownership tracking, and lifecycle oversight of non-human identities.
Create practical intake, review, and approval processes for new service accounts, secrets, tokens, and other machine credentials requested by business teams.
Develop reporting tools, dashboards, and alert mechanisms that provide stakeholders with timely insight into credential usage, risk exposure, and governance status.
Work with subject matter experts to establish controls for provisioning, rotation, periodic access validation, and retirement of machine identities.
Investigate unmanaged or inactive credentials and partner with relevant teams to drive remediation and strengthen governance coverage.
Act as a central liaison across identity management, cloud operations, enterprise applications, cybersecurity, and AI-related teams to align priorities and execution.
Produce and maintain runbooks, standards, and operational documentation that support consistent machine identity management practices.
Track program metrics and maturity indicators to demonstrate operational progress, risk reduction, and areas for continuous improvement.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Business Analyst leading complex, cross-functional initiatives in large organizations.

Strong background in documentation, reporting, process design, and operational governance.

Experience working with cybersecurity, identity management, or cloud technology teams in enterprise settings.

Ability to translate policy objectives into structured workflows, practical controls, and measurable outcomes.

Familiarity with cloud platforms, REST APIs, integrations, and enterprise application environments, including Microsoft Azure.

Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical teams and business leadership.

Demonstrated project management capability, including coordinating priorities, tracking progress, and supporting implementation strategies.

Excellent communication and analytical skills with the ability to present recommendations clearly to varied audiences.

NHI governance platform across Hearst's environment including integration with cloud platforms identity providers SaaS tools and internal systems

- Partner with engineers and analysts on the IAM team to define and build the operational model for NHI discovery classification ownership assignment and lifecycle management

- Develop dashboards alerting and reporting that give the team and business stakeholders real-time visibility into machine identity posture
