Job description

About The Role
Are you ready to push your sales career in an exciting, fast-growing company?

We’re Retail Insight, a cutting-edge software and analytics company that helps businesses unlock their potential through data-driven solutions.

We’re looking for a creative, fearless, and strategic pipeline builder — part BDR, part marketer — to help us generate and convert demand across a focused set of ~300 target accounts in the US retail and grocery sector. You’ll own the motion from intent to opportunity, applying modern marketing craft tailored to this market: intent-based targeting, high-signal messaging that resonates with retail decision-makers, direct mail campaigns, regional events in key US retail hubs, and other creative plays that drive demos and build pipeline momentum.

This isn’t your traditional BD role — it’s an opportunity to shape what modern account-based prospecting looks like. You’ll design and execute plays that blend data, creativity, and hustle to earn attention, meetings, and momentum.

What will you do?

Create Demand Across Target Accounts
Build and run account mini-plays using our 5-point connector method: research, fit alignment, persona mapping, bespoke messaging, and multi-channel outreach.
Segment and prioritize ~300 ICP accounts by cohort and tier.
Craft Messaging That Earns Demos
Write relevant, high-signal emails and CTAs that spark curiosity and action.
Pair outreach with social touches, events, executive assists, and direct mail.
Run Regional Events & Direct Mail Campaigns
Plan and execute hosted roundtables, field dinners, and sponsored events — from invite to post-event follow-up that converts.
Manage high-impact direct mail campaigns: scope, personalize, ship, and track performance.
Collaborate & Convert
Partner with sales and marketing on Create > Capture > Convert plays each quarter.
Book and prep qualified demos/discovery calls with account owners — complete with context, persona maps, and proof points.
Keep data clean and reporting sharp in HubSpot.
Learn, Share, and Optimise
Track engagement, report weekly wins, and surface insights for ongoing testing.
Experiment boldly, measure impact, and iterate quickly.

Our ideal candidate...

You will have prior experience in B2B sales development, demand generation, or field marketing across US markets
Experience selling SaaS or technology products
A marketer’s creativity with a salesperson’s grit — you know how to get attention and convert it into meetings.
Confident with a variety of tools including HubSpot (sequences, routing, reporting, data hygiene).
Proven ability to write personalized, relevant outreach that earns senior-level engagement.
Comfortable owning regional events and direct mail campaigns that actually convert.
Bonus: experience in retail or grocery tech, or selling/marketing to retail executives.

Some of our extras...

We believe in flexibility, growth, and taking care of our people—both in and out of the office.
