Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions for process deviations and quality nonconformances
Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process documentation for consistent and repeatable production practices
Collaborate with R&D and Product Development teams to scale up new materials and products from trials to full scale production
Ensure adherence to environmental, health and safety standards in all process related activities
Develop and support capital projects by providing technical input on equipment selection, process design and system commissioning
Participate and/or lead in cross functional teams to support strategic initiatives related to manufacturing excellence, sustainability and new technology deployment
Provide training and technical guidance to production and technical staff on process best practices and troubleshooting methods
Lead Maintenance and Engineering teams to evaluate equipment performance, recommend upgrades, identify process concerns, prioritize projects and ensure process reliability
Identify, monitor and troubleshoot data to identify opportunities for productivity and quality gains
Foster continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing principles across production lines
Develop cost reduction initiatives by optimizing raw material usage and energy consumption
All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

BS in Mechanical, Chemical, or related Engineering field
4-6 years of professional experience in industrial process engineering experience.
Skills and Competencies:

Strong working knowledge of Plaskolite’s polymerization manufacturing process.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
Effective communicator with ability to lead cross-functional teams.
Skilled with Microsoft Office and data analysis tools.
Team-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work safely in a manufacturing environment.
