Job description

Tamim Academy of Miami is seeking a passionate and dedicated Judaic Studies Teacher to join our growing school. The ideal candidate will bring warmth, creativity, and a deep commitment to Jewish learning and values. This role includes instruction in Judaic Studies, Chagim (Jewish Holidays), Tefilah, Hebrew reading and language, and Chumash, using developmentally appropriate, student-centred approaches.

Key Responsibilities:

Teach core Judaic subjects including Chumash, with a focus on comprehension and application.
Develop engaging lessons around Jewish holidays and customs that connect students to their heritage.
Lead daily Tefilah and help students cultivate meaningful prayer experiences.
Provide differentiated instruction in Hebrew reading and language to support fluency and understanding.
Integrate Jewish values and middot (character traits) into everyday learning.
Foster a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment that supports academic, spiritual, and social-emotional growth.
Collaborate with colleagues to align curriculum and share best practices.
Communicate regularly with parents about student progress and classroom updates.
Qualifications:

Fluency in Hebrew (reading and speaking) and comfort teaching in Hebrew and English.
Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in a Jewish educational setting.
Familiarity with child-centered, inquiry-based learning models.
Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
Passion for Jewish education and a commitment to nurturing each child’s unique journey.
