Day in The Life of a Part-time Nurse Practitioner

Primary Responsibilities
• Evaluate and manage patients with opioid use disorder in our outpatient clinic settings
• Prescribe appropriate medications and treatments as indicated by patient assessment
• Complete medical documentation per Crossroads standards
• Collaborate with clinic staff to provide holistic care to patients, including referrals to other medical providers and community services
• Will perform injections
Schedule & Locations
• Primary center: Scranton
• Target weekly hours: 12
• Proposed schedule: Tuesday 12-4, Wednesday 8-12, Thursday 8-12
Education and Licensure Requirements
• Nurse Practitioner with an active, unrestricted licensure and authorized to practice in the state of practice
• Primary specialty in one of the following: Family Medicine/Family Practice, Internal Medicine, General Practice, Psychiatry
• DEA Certificate of Registration in the state of practice with ability to schedule 2, 2N, 3, 4, & 5
• Must have or be eligible for enrollment for Medicaid and Medicare credentials
• Additional education or certification may be required depending on state of practice.
Preferred Experience
• Experience in addiction medicine, preferably with experience treating patients with opioid use disorder (OUD) and/or providing medication for opioid use disorder
