Job Summary & Responsibilities
Position Summary:
The Audit Specialist of Funding and Audits will report to the Manager of Funding and Audits in the H&B Operations Department. This role is responsible for performing plan funding audits across pre-tax benefit platforms to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely resolution of funding discrepancies. The Audit Specialist reviews employer account activity, identifies funding gaps, documents audit findings, and collaborates with the Collections Specialists and Manager to support recovery efforts. The ideal candidate will have a compliance and financial controls mindset, strong attention to detail, critical thinking and decision-making skills, and the ability to work across multiple platforms and product types.
Perform plan funding audits across pre-tax benefit platforms including CBAS, Panda, and First Dollar to identify discrepancies, missing funding, and outstanding balances
Review and update audit records ensuring all entries, amounts, and documentation are accurate and complete
Identify and escalate funding gaps, system discrepancies, and compliance concerns to the Manager or Team Lead
Collaborate with Collections Specialists to provide audit findings that support funding collections outreach
Maintain multiple trackers and document audit activity in business operations platforms with weekly reporting to the Manager
Collaborate with the Manager, Team Lead, account managers, and platform partners to resolve compliance or financial controls issues
Create and maintain written operating procedures related to assigned audit functions
Communicate and utilize sound judgment to escalate issues that may require intervention of the Manager or Team Lead
Assist with internal and external audit requests
Perform other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
Education and Experience:
2+ years of banking, compliance, or financial controls experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of HSA, FSA, HRA, Commuter, and other Inspira H&B products
Strong customer service skills - verbal and active listening
A high level of attention to detail and excellent record keeping
Moderate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills including the ability to manage and analyze large data sets
Must have a proven track record of success producing results and exhibit positive and collaborative behaviors
Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrates critical thinking and decision-making skills
Ability to pick up new things quickly, able to manage time wisely, be flexible and work well within a team environment
Other Requirements:
Ability to work overtime
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Compensation & Benefits
$32.00/hr-$36.00/hr
