Job description
We are looking for a Project Manager to support complex initiatives within a Financial Services environment. This long-term contract opportunity is ideal for someone who is detail oriented and can bring structure to project execution, coordinate cross-functional teams, and keep deliverables on schedule and aligned with business goals. The role requires strong organization, stakeholder communication, and the ability to monitor progress while maintaining high standards for documentation and quality.
Responsibilities:
Lead project delivery from initiation through completion, ensuring milestones, timelines, and expected outcomes remain clearly defined and achievable.
Partner with internal teams and leadership to establish project scope, priorities, success measures, and overall execution strategy.
Build and maintain detailed project plans that outline tasks, dependencies, resource needs, budgets, and target completion dates.
Coordinate staffing activities for assigned initiatives, including participation in candidate evaluation, team selection, and day-to-day oversight of project contributors.
Track project performance closely, identify risks or schedule changes early, and implement corrective actions to keep work on course.
Maintain organized project records, reporting tools, and supporting documentation to ensure information is secure, accurate, and accessible.
Provide regular updates to stakeholders and senior leaders through structured communication plans, status reporting, and progress reviews.
Conduct ongoing quality checks with the project team to confirm deliverables meet established standards and recommend improvements when needed.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree required.
Demonstrated experience managing project timelines, deliverables, and cross-functional coordination.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Project, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Proven ability to plan resources effectively, including time, budget, and personnel.
Experience monitoring project quality, progress, and performance metrics throughout the project lifecycle.
PMP or similar project management certification preferred.
