Lead Toddler Teacher – Early Childhood Education

The Learning Experience – Bushwick is seeking a caring and experienced Lead Toddler Teacher to guide our young toddler classroom. This role focuses on supporting children during one of the most important stages of development by creating a nurturing environment that encourages language development, exploration, confidence, and secure relationships.

This is an excellent opportunity for an educator who enjoys leading a classroom while making a lasting impact on young children's earliest learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Lead daily classroom routines for children ages 12–24 months

Implement developmentally appropriate activities using the L.E.A.P. Curriculum

Support children's language, social-emotional, cognitive, and physical development

Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment

Mentor assistant teachers and promote classroom consistency

Build strong partnerships with families through daily communication

Maintain compliance with New York State and NYC licensing requirements

Qualifications

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education preferred, CDA accepted

Candidates with 5+ years of classroom experience and a high school diploma will also be considered

Previous toddler classroom experience preferred

Strong understanding of child development and responsive caregiving

CPR and First Aid certification preferred

Must meet New York State and NYC childcare licensing requirements
