School Stability Case Aide

Position Summary:

The Case Aide in the Enhanced Family Foster Care (EFFC) program plays a key support role within a team prepared to ensure adherence to the federal school stability mandate. The Case Aide will supervise and serve as chaperones for student and families to and from school settings. This is a part-time on call position, scheduled varies Monday through Friday, flexible hours, early morning and late afternoons as necessary.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Understand and promote the organization’s Mission, Vision, and Core Values to ensure alignment with organizational policies and procedures.
Work with a dynamic team of professionals in a progressive Enhanced Family Foster Care program.
Supervise students during travel to and from educational settings.
This position will required to be on call, the scheduled varies Monday through Friday, flexible hours, early morning and late afternoons as necessary.
Escort children and parents to appointments.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED minimum requirement.
Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred.

Key Competencies:

Strong desire to work with children and families.
Knowledge of the New York City child welfare system a plus.
Excellent verbal, writing, and organizational skills.
Flexibility and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines; Flexible work schedule, as needed.
Basic computer literacy.
